A Little Hippy

Hi everyone this card is for this week's challenge over at Sassy Studio Design. For this week the challenge was "paper piecing". I love this technique.. it really reminds me of playing with paper doll. Remember we would buy like the Coloring Book with a lot of activities and playing with all those cute clothes and accessories.

I paper pieced her groovy jeans. and colored the rest of her with my prisma and OMS. And added some of my hand made flowers. I said it before bu I really love making these flowers to and finished off with adding a little bling.

For my card I used this week's sketch form Carly
This card is all so for the following Challenges:

Creative Belle- 101 Embellishment- my flowers and Bling
Karber Weekly Challenge- # 7 Hobbies and Leisure
One Sketch at a Time-#32 Anything Goes

For my card I used the "square" card from this week's Mojo Monday, and of course she is colored with my prisma and OMS. It's really gloomy right now and yes still HOT.. so I don't know if that's the reason but my picture did not come out as bright as I would have liked it to.

Happy Monday everyone R we ready for another week. Boy!!! September will be over in just a few days WOW!!.I wanted to show my final project for Robyn and My Pink Stamper challenge. This challenge is hosted by her BFF Karlee and she wants us to make a project using "Envelopes".!! If you check out Karlee's blog you will see that she did an "amazing" tutorial video using Envelopes to make an "envelope book"

I got my project from a tutorial on PCP.. I altered the size by half.. becuase the envelops used where much bigger (business size) than the ones I have which are the normal A2 size.. So my project measures at 3x4. (great for gift cards, or little note cards)

I cut my card stock ( Bazzill) at 4 x 6 1/2, decorated. with Ribbon and DP, and then folded my envelope in half. cut off the top of both sides and then used my circle punch (1") and cut half way to complete the opening. And the to close I just added a little velcro circle. I also added a little faux stitching with my white gel pen. and of course I had to use something from my Cricut,, so I cut the cute little mailbox from the "Doodlecharm Cart and added the sentiment " hi there" ( PTI and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black

Challenges:
Stamp,Scrap & Doodle Saturday- Stitching
Anything Goes Challenge-# 17 Cute

Hope you have a great day :0)

A scrap book and a Challenge

Here is my project for the 1st Challenge that Robyn is hosting for her 5 Million Hit on her Blog. Of course we all snapped away pictures of our "little ones" on their first day of school and my purpose was to do a scrap book page of Lynette & Jordan. This is their first time being at school together and it is Wonderful. Their school is a "closed campus" school , which means that we the parents are not allowed on the school grounds during school hours with out permission.. So every morning I take them as far as the gate of the Kindergarten entrance, and from their Big brother takes Little sister's hand and walks her in to her class room. I stand at the gate and watch as he whispers something to her :0) I don't ask what he says to her because I figure that is between the booth of them.. But just seeing the pride on his face, lets me know that he is giving her one last assurance that she will be ok and to make sure that she has a good day..

This is a great challenge becuase its a "Any thing Goes Challenge". My scrapbook page is a 8x8 page, which my daughter bought for me from her summer camp job this summer. I  am soo intimidated by the 12x12 sheets, because their is soo much space that you need to cover. So when I got this album I thought that it was just perfect for me, since I am still learning my way around scrapbooks.

I hope you like it!!! ;0)

The Moments that makes us Happy

Hi everyone I don't have a card to share, but something much more "close" to my heart. Today I took my daughter Brianna to take her senior pictures. We have been getting ready for a couple of days now. I am soo proud of her and her accomplishment, and getting to  her senior year and all that will come with it I want to enjoy every moment with her.

We were'nt allowed to have any camera's cell phones, or video's in the studio, but I had to sneak this one in when I saw her standing there in her "cap & gown".  I felt as though it was her graduation all ready lol, Shows how fast of a journey we are ALL on in this beautiful and bless thing that we call LIFE!!

The first picture is me showing off her new hair style (which I did ;0) and make up..

Sew Beary Kind

Back with another post.. it seems like "stitching" is the latest craze for cards and challenges right now :0). I love it; I don't own a sewing machine my self.. BUT don't mean I can't make an absolute "fab" faux stitching. lol.. I do love seeing every one's take on stitching, I have even come across some great tutorials.
This week at Design 2 Delight Faith gave us this sweet little Teddy bear who has been busy stitching his flowers ( yes for me its a he ..lol) I colored him with my pencils and OMS and yes the flowers are done with my Sakura gell pens.  The DP is one of my 6x6 sample paper pack that I purchased from "Die Cuts R us" love the flowers and the color of this paper.  I embossed the chocolate card stock with my cuttlebug. the Ribbon is from PTI and did you notice the flowers?? the smaller ones are from"Reflections" (Michaels). But the larger one is one "I made" this was from a tutorial on how to make "grunge flowers" I love making them and will continue getting better at making them..:0)
Now!! along with D2D I also love playing along with "Double Delight" which is a challenge blog that uses the images from Design2Delight. For this week the challenge is......STITCHING!!!!
