How can this "Royal" week get any Better...

How can it.. I will tell you that I have soo much "emotions" going thru me I just can not put them to words. Today has finally arrived. And  I have soo much to be Thankful for. My Baby is Graduation today from High School. I can soo remember her in Pre K and being excited about her "graduation" on to the big league of "Kindergarden" hehehe.
I will have a Special post "dedicated just for her later on today".. But as for today being soo "Royal". Well again how can it get any better than being able to "SAY!!!!!!! that I am this Month "Guess Designer" for "The Greeting Farm" "WOOT WOOT".. My feet is "taping" as I am typing because I still can not believe that I was asked my Jesica Diedrich. I think I said those same words like a dozen time in my email when I have a HUG "Yes I Will"

It is going to be a ROYAL month ahead at The Greeting Farm and today's first preview is a pretty good indication of just HOW royal...Introducing Princess 2! With TGF's 3rd birthday being only a few months away, we were getting nostalgic and remembered just how popular "Princess Anya" was when she first took her throne as one of the first beloved Anyas. She has evolved so much since then, but really, who DOESN'T love royalty? Because of her timeless beauty AND the fact that we love to play dress-up here on the Farm, we are expanding the Princess collection and here she is, Princess 2:

Princess 2 will begin her reign along with other FABULOUS releases on June 1st...and be sure to stay tuned for a HUG contest announcement on the 1st as well! I'll be back tomorrow for more fun, but in the mean time, be sure to stop by the TGF blog for more information and find out how YOU can win Princess 2!

Oh Boy Oh Boy It's Thursday Challenge with BLD

It's Thursday time and that means it's time for another challenge with By Lori Designs. For this week our theme is "All about the Boys". I just enjoy doing boys or masculine cards so this was a fun challenge. As I posted last week BLD has become exclusive with caring her "Fabulous" and super cute "digi" images. As so for this week I used one of those that just became available in the store.

Say hello to "back to School Landon". Is he just not a very "handsome" guy hehehe ready for school and learning. Instead of my usual A2 cards I changed it up just a bit and made an "easel card" so that I can show off more of Landon and his school day.

This easel card was super fun and super easy to make.. Card stock is from PTI, DP. is from "The Paper Studio". I got from Michael's. Sentiment is from TLC. and stickers are from K & Co.

Friendship Challenge #17 with BLD

Hi everyone It's Thursday and that means it's time for another challenge over at By Lori Designs. I love that fact that Lori has switch up the challenges a little and has moved a way from just the main color challenges. Which we will still have But it's still nice to have a Lil different flavor ever now and again..

This Week's Theme is "Friendship" I think it is a great challenge as that it makes us reflect on what is important to us.and beside our family I know  that all of us have those special friends that we turn to when we need to share, vent or just gossip a little hehehe.. for my card I choose to use the "special edition" bug and roo.

I colored the girls with my prisma and OMS. and used my sakura gell pen and lots of stickles to add some bling.

I used this week's sketch from the very talented Carly ( whom by the was is only 12 yrs old.. I mean is she talented or What) she designed this sketch for the Saturday challenge over at Design2Delight

Is It Shabby Chic??

Hello everyone I am soo excited just for the fact that I have a card to share with you all today.. hehehe. Life has really come full circle for me right now.. I have had Birthday's, Prom, Award ceremony, sports Banquet and it is not even half way done yet. Wow I got tired just thinking about it. :0) But for the most part I have loved every moment of it. I have just a little over 2 weeks until by DD graduation, my youngest son is graduation from Elementary school. So for the main part of  just being able to focus long enough to get a card done is a great thing.
I have a question and would love any feed back. I have heard the theme or term of many challenges lately as "Shabby Chic". I have not a Clue as to what that means. So if anyone can enlighten me I would be grateful.  I know Retro and I know Vintage so just need to know where doe "Shabby Chic fit in. That brings me to my card today.

I used this super adorable image from Babybud Designs. This little beauty is named Molly and I just Love her. Love her little outfit and her bonnet. I wanted to give my "Faux Charcoal" technique another try. I did another card using this technique when I first saw a tutorial about it a few months ago. So once I realized I wanted to print the image on "kraft" card stock I knew that this is the technique that I wanted to use to color her with. I only used two colors which where my Black and White Prisma pencil and OMS. For this months challenge at Baby Bud is to use Die Cuts or Punches. So I used my Oval Large and Scallop Nesti to cut out Molly Plus my Martha Stewart Punch to add a little boarder, and even my Corner rounders.

I used the Sketch and theme "Shabby Chic or Vintage from Sugar Creek Hollow
Card stock is Kraft from PTI, I inked up the edges of all my paper and Card with Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" I also distressed my Nesti die scallop all around and also on my M.S. Punch boarder. DP. is Cosmo Cricket " Everafter". I love this kit the papers do have an older vintage look to them. Ribbon is a gold wire that I got from Walmart I added two gold brads and use my white gell pen to add a little boarder to the frame.

Challenges
Creative Craft Challenge- Vintage/ Distress
Digital Tuesday- Digi/ Thinking of You
Papertake Weekly- Die cuts/Punches
The Crazy Challenge- Anything Goes

Thursday Sketch Challenge with BLD and some Great News

HI everyone I hope that you all are having a great week.. I don't have to tell you that sometimes Life does gets the best of us. and we do our best to make the best of it.. So that is why I have been so not as I have been wanting to be with my blogging and posting. I have said it many time that it is most definitely my "therapy". But again sometimes we have to get our priority in order.. :0)))
With all of that being said. Today is Thursday so that means it time for another challenge with "By Lori Designs". We have always gone with our normal color challenges. But today we have decided to"shake" things up a little and challenge you all with this super cute Sketch challenge. I tell you I don't think I can get half of my cards done the way I do if I did not have a "sketch" to fall back on..

I used "sugar stick" Little Chief" is she not the cutes.. I love any type of "cooking' images. because it reminds me soo much of my Daughter. As of now that is what is in her mind of study She wants to study both "business and Culinary arts"  I have said that she is quite the baker for the family, and I know that this little sweetie is whipping up some goodies in her mixing bowel :0)

I colored her with my Prisma and OMS. Card stock is from PTI. DP is from American Crafts "backyard" collection which you can find at Claudia and Co. and the little fruit (strawberry & lemon) are stickers from my "doodlebug designs- bon appetit". Ribbon is from Michael's.
